Introduction
In this month’s newsletter the key focus will be on highlighting the importance of driving technology from the top down for better impact and sustainable profits with a particular focus on AI adoption.
Technology is changing at a rapid pace and most businesses are forced to adopt these changes to remain ahead and relevant in the coming years. AI is currently creating wide changes across various industries and in some cases completely transforming the landscape of business operations.
In a bid to harness all that technology has to offer and drive profits up while increasing efficiency, AI is playing a large part in overhauling entire business processes and systems across millions of business globally.
While AI adoption rates have increased globally, there is still a huge gap yet to be filled. At the current rate of adoption it is only a matter of time before these gaps are filled in the not too distant future.
IBM commissioned a research on global AI adoption and the results were quite insightful. The report covered key areas of AI Adoption rates across key countries like the United States, Italy, France, Singapore, the UAE and according to the report “only 1 in 5 companies today don’t plan to use AI”.
Other areas covered issues on skill availability, the trustworthiness of AI, how AI is helping businesses stay sustainable by optimising supply chain, handling compliance issues, and improving cost efficiency by up to 44%.
The uses cases of AI across key business points covered in the report included: Automating Processes, Monitoring Governance, Fraud Detection, Financial Planning and Analysis, Marketing and Sales, and Automation of Business Processes.

Top business Executives and business owners may be tempted to think that these changes have nothing to do with their roles in the business but this may not be the case at all.
It is imperative that everyone who drives business today should know to an extent what all these changes in the technology landscape mean and why they should not only be concerned but directly drive these adoptions themselves.
